Term dates for 2026 now updated.
True vocal development for a singer is a mental and physical journey. It is both an artistic and athletic pursuit that requires regular training and attention.
Those singers who wish to improve their singing skills are strongly advised to book in for "lessons by the term".
Lessons "by the term" are a block of (usually) 8 lessons held during the NSW Public School terms.
Booking lessons "by the term" holds a particular weekly time-slot for you.
Lessons can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration, depending on availability and your budget.
NB: 45 or 60-minute lessons are strongly recommended for students preparing for HSC Music or higher level external examinations (eg AMEB exams).
Additional lessons can be scheduled if desired - both during the school term and in school holidays - depending on availability.

Bookings for private lessons by the TERM are currently available between 3:30pm - 7pm on:
MONDAYS
THURSDAYS
FRIDAYS (upon request only)
SATURDAY (9am-12pm only)
TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS are not currently available for regular lesson bookings, but may be used for rescheduled lessons.
Sarah is currently not available for regular ("by the term") lessons during the day during school terms.
Students studying "by the term" can request additional lessons undertaken outside of the set term dates (eg HSC students wishing to work through the school breaks); these are added to the invoice for the following term at the "by-the-term" rate.

Term lesson bookings are paid in full BEFORE the start of each new term. This secures your time slot for that term.
30-minute lesson: $50 +GST
= $440 per 8-lesson term (incGST)45-minute lesson: $75+GST
= $660 per 8-lesson term (incGST)60-minute lesson: $100+GST
= $880 per 8-lesson term (incGST)
Students studying "by the term" can request additional lessons undertaken outside of the listed term dates (eg HSC students wishing to work through the school breaks); these are added to the invoice for the following term at the "by-the-term" rate.

Students/parents will be advised if/when these fees are required:
"Sight-Singing School" subscription:
$12 p.a. (added to your Term 2 invoice)
Additional fees are associated with:
Accompanist fees (for concert, audition, Eisteddfod and examination performances)

ALL my teaching terms will be for 8-lessons unless otherwise indicated.
All "term weeks" refer to the NSW DET school weeks (independent schools often follow a different pattern of "term weeks").
Please note that lessons will proceed as normally scheduled in the weeks indicated regardless of any (school) public-free days, etc.
If you wish to "miss" a scheduled lesson, then you must provide the suitable "advance" notice, and then the lesson can be re-scheduled (as part of your 2 allocated "re-scheduled lessons" per teaching term).
Lessons will be rescheduled at the following times (in order of priority)
during another student's regular time slot during a planned teaching term - when they are absent, OR
Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon/evenings during a planned teaching term - according to Sarah's availability, OR
afternoon/evenings in Weeks 9 or 10 NSW DET school terms - according to Sarah's availability, OR
select Saturdays during a planned teaching term - according to Sarah's availability
